While the UK seems far from ideal when it comes to going for a winter vacation, I can assure you that it’s worth visiting. It tends to turn into a winter wonderland with many activities, especially for the more adventurous travellers. Another cool thing is that it’s considered the low season so you’ll see the more peaceful side of the UK with cheaper prices for most things. My winter experience in the UK Last year I spent my winter vacation in Bangkok. While I liked the wet winter, I still prefer the snowy version of winter. It’s fun to explore different places with their own unique weather. Plus I was lucky enough to get tickets for Bangkok discounted flights and save some extra cash. However, after spending a winter vacation in Great Britain, I can confidently say that snowy winter is much better. No Crowds Britain is quite popular among tourists so you can imagine how crowded it must get in peak season. That is not the case while visiting it in winter because most people prefer to stay inside and pass the winter time quietly. While in peak season, the popular sites are noisy and sometimes you need to... Read More
This is just a short but precise message to all of our clients and visitors alike, who come our website, as well as to all of our other Social Media outlets... MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It has been awhile since we have updated you all about news from the Quoakle office. Things have been slowly changing but from the 12th of November onwards the changes will be in full throttle! Nigel will be going back to teaching. This has always been his passion and amazingly a door has opened up for him to teach 3 days a week in a school in Berkshire! This will have an effect on both Tim and Sean but they feel this is right. Tim has been working for another company in Cheltenham and he has seen his workload increase bit by bit so it seems we are all entering into a new season of sorts. Sean will be travelling to Israel on the 12th of November for 11 days, while Nigel starts his new job on the same day! This will mean that Tim will be holding the fort for awhile but then will be going to France in December for a few weeks. So you can see that a lot has and will be happening towards the end of the year. We are still contactable on either support@dev.quoakle.com or info@great-days-out.co.uk and also on 01452 595377 However, this doesn't... Read More
You can’t keep your eyes on your luggage all day long when you are out on a trip. So here are some tips for you for better luggage storage. 1- Using right locks You need to make sure that your bag is locked rightly when you are on travel. Select the best locks for your bag which don’t get broke and should be highly secure. The locks approved by TSA are not completely secure and their master key could be easily available to anyone. So the better option for you to have completely secure locks on your bag and if somehow you are not able to do so, then use a fastener and attach it to the zip of your bag. This way you’ll be alerted all the time and you’ll keep checking your bag. Putting no lock on the bag just because you know that no lock is safe would be a mistake. So just put a lock on your bag and make one thing sure that the lock should be thick, thick enough that no one could cut it. 2- Keep Eye Contact with the Bag As you can’t keep your eyes on your bag all the time... Both Nigel and Sean had been away and returned to the UK last week. Sean was visiting his homeland of Canada and afterwards spent some time in the USA, while Nigel and Helen went to Israel for the first time! Both sets of travellers had a great time, even more so knowing that Tim Davis was in complete control of all of the various websites. He even had time to do a little tweaking on the Great Days Out UK Directory while the rest of the team were away! It is still easy and quick to use!
Yes, it is true, finally the new website for Great Days Out UK has been unleashed onto an unsuspecting world! Thankfully with Tim Davis at the helm, the launching of the directory went smoothly enough. We are incredibly chuffed with how the website looks and believe it will be a better experience for the user. We have made searching through the website a lot easier too. We hope you enjoy using our new directory! Here is a picture of Tim right after the directory went live. Enjoy the cookies Tim!
