Top Reasons Why You Should Visit the UK in Winter

While the UK seems far from ideal when it comes to going for a winter vacation, I can assure you that it’s worth visiting. It tends to turn into a winter wonderland with many activities, especially for the more adventurous travellers. Another cool thing is that it’s considered the low season so you’ll see the more peaceful side of the UK with cheaper prices for most things. My winter experience in the UK Last year I spent my winter vacation in Bangkok. While I liked the wet winter, I still prefer the snowy version of winter. It’s fun to explore different places with their own unique weather. Plus I was lucky enough to get tickets for Bangkok discounted flights and save some extra cash. However, after spending a winter vacation in Great Britain, I can confidently say that snowy winter is much better. No Crowds Britain is quite popular among tourists so you can imagine how crowded it must get in peak season. That is not the case while visiting it in winter because most people prefer to stay inside and pass the winter time quietly. While in peak season, the popular sites are noisy and sometimes you need to... Read More

5 Best Luggage Storage Tips

You can’t keep your eyes on your luggage all day long when you are out on a trip. So here are some tips for you for better luggage storage. 1- Using right locks You need to make sure that your bag is locked rightly when you are on travel. Select the best locks for your bag which don’t get broke and should be highly secure. The locks approved by TSA are not completely secure and their master key could be easily available to anyone. So the better option for you to have completely secure locks on your bag and if somehow you are not able to do so, then use a fastener and attach it to the zip of your bag. This way you’ll be alerted all the time and you’ll keep checking your bag. Putting no lock on the bag just because you know that no lock is safe would be a mistake. So just put a lock on your bag and make one thing sure that the lock should be thick, thick enough that no one could cut it. 2- Keep Eye Contact with the Bag As you can’t keep your eyes on your bag all the time... Recent trips

Both Nigel and Sean had been away and returned to the UK last week. Sean was visiting his homeland of Canada and afterwards spent some time in the USA, while Nigel and Helen went to Israel for the first time! Both sets of travellers had a great time, even more so knowing that Tim Davis was in complete control of all of the various websites. He even had time to do a little tweaking on the Great Days Out UK Directory while the rest of the team were away! It is still easy and quick to use!

Great Days Out UK getting a New Look

We have some exciting news concerning our sister directory, Great Days Out UK! Since Tim's return, the Quoakle office has been ablaze with creativity and new ideas. As with most things on the internet these days, businesses do what they can to keep up-to-date with the constant flow of change that takes place. We always endeavour to make our websites the most user friendly on the world wide web! So as it stands, we are currently working on a new and improved Great Days Out directory! We will keep updated as the work progresses!

Summer Holidays

It is hard to believe that we are right in the middle of the summer holidays already and yet the weather has been somewhat of a disappointment so far!It seems that we have also been on a summer holiday ourselves, considering it has been awhile since our last blog! Nigel and Tim have been busy while Sean had been on another of his epic Scandinavian adventures. Our clients, Greenfield Garden Services are currently in the middle of having a brand new website. Our Great Days Out UK directory has also had a number of updates over the last month or two! All of our paying clients will have additional text on their advertising links. We are hoping this will make our Google listing more competitive as well as increasing the number of visitors to our website. Here is how one of their links will look like when you click on their logo...

Great Days Out – Great Innovations

As the title of our latest Blog title suggests - once again we have been looking at ways to improve the usability and appearance of the Great Days Out directory! You will see that instead of the current 103 x 103 advertising logo's that we have been using up until now, we have increased the sizes of the individual logo's. We believe this gives our directory a more aesthetically pleasing appearance to our users. We will be slowly rolling these out across all of the UK counties, but it will take a bit of time as there are dozens of pages to update! To have a look at just one of the new webpages, go here : Great Days Out in Gloucestershire. We have been also letting our paying clients know of the new look and so far we have had only positive responses! You will see that we are not just updating our existing clients' advertising links, but also the Counties banners at the bottom of our webpages. We hope you will be enjoying our updates and our constant quest to improve our website!
