The Quoakle “Wedge” puts in appearance at the first Gloucestershire Motor Show

The Quoakle "Wedge" co-made by Roger Hewlett and becoming a familiar sight around the roads of Gloucester was seen at its first Motor Show on Saturday, 12th June, Gloucestershire Motor Show.The Gloucestershire Motor Show was opened by Gloucester rugby star, Phil Vickery, who swapped rugby boots for driving gloves to open the Highnam-based, car show last weekend. More than 100 classic cars took centre stage.The Motor Show was organised in aid of two charities, the Pied Piper Appeal and Cruise Bereavement Care.

Quoakle Launches New Promotional Video For Barclays Business Idea Competition

In order to get Quoakle better known and more widely recognised, we have entered a competition with Barclays Bank called 'Take One Small Step'. If we get in the top three it will really help Quoakle become more widely known and take off as a business. 2009 – Has been a great year for Quoakle!Just some of the developments and achievements....- More part-time staff taken on board, Sean Cresswell & Jeannie Mason – Sales and Andy Smith-Marketing- Gloucestershire Heating page goes live with 4 categories- Quoakle expands into Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Herefordshire,Bristol & Avon, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire- 2 Dutch Business students spent 3 months working for Quoakle-particularly successful in developing twitter marketing- Businesses in Gloucestershire begin paying for the yearly advertising- Quoakle CMS designed by Jeremy Onion and Mark Finney was launched in September after months of development work- Business Development Executives start to create logos on their own! From making the phone call to confirmation of logo advertisement.- Quoakle website continues to develop- Lots of great new pages thanks to web developer Mark Finney- Quoakle celebrated 3 year anniversary in October! Quoakle Team Produce Exciting New Video

In October, Quoakle Director, Nigel Steele, and Quoakle Office Manager, Naomi Clayfield, visited Red Box Studio in Birmingham to film the first Quoakle "Gogglebox" video. The video is an introduction to Quoakle and can be seen on all the Quoakle logo pages. The video is around 30 seconds long and explains how Quoakle works with images and logos instead of text. Quoakle’s latest advertising vehicle

Last week Simon Cardwell from Weston-Super-Mare visited Gloucester company Quoakle to give the Toyota Estima a new "Quoakle-look". Simon Cardwell has his own Company, Claron Graphics. Look out for Quoakle directors Nigel and Helen Steele, driving around Gloucester with the smart new Quoakle advertising.

Two Cheltenham Restaurants Top 600 hits

Two Restaurants from Cheltenham have now topped the 600 mark. Users of the Quoakle Restaurant directory have now made over 628 visits to the website of Zizzi, the popular restaurant in Suffolk Square.The website of the Speciality Restaurant in North Place, Storyteller, has received 620 visits from Quoakle users.To visit these websites click on the link to the Restaurants in Gloucestershire page.

Significant Development Meetings help to take Quoakle forward

During the last few weeks, a series of significant meetings have taken place focusing on different aspects of the development of Quoakle - the graphical directory.The first meeting was held in Bristol with a Technical Consultant from the East of England. Further meetings are likely in the near future. Other meetings have been held in the Gloucester area. The first with a Business Consultant from Bristol, looking particularly at roles within the company and also looking at the financial structure. Also one of the Directors met with a Marketing and Sales Consultant from Leicestershire. A range of ideas were put forward in this meeting including some possible joint projects. It is anticipated that follow up workshops and seminars will take place early in 2008.All in all there are some very promising developments in the pipeline!
